Carter Mountain Brass Band Concert 9/10

Carter Mountain Brass Band Concert September 10

The Carter Mountain Brass Band will present their annual "thank you to the church" concert on Sunday afternoon, September 10 at 3:00 PM. Under the direction of Mike Mikuski, the band will present a varied program of favorites from Sousa to Glenn Miller. Those of you who know the band know that the program can be fun, serious, memorable, contemplative, and toe tapping. The suggested donation is $8.00 with all proceeds going to the church to support its role in the community. Our building supports a variety of community groups who use it for meetings, rehearsals and other functions. It is a true treasure, one that Carter Mountain appreciates by giving back with this concert. Come join us for an afternoon of good music and fun while supporting a good cause.

Summer Handbells

This is your chance to learn something new (always good for the brain and the body!).

The handbells will meet on Mondays at 7:00pm beginning July 3. If you are interested in learning how to play the bells, but don't want to commit to being in the choir, join us. You can come for one week or as many as you wish and your summer schedule will al- low. We will play music appropriate for the learning level of those who are there. We may divide the hour so that beginners will start and then experienced players will join them. We are not committing to play in worship anytime this summer unless the group wishes to play. If you have questions, contact Vickie at 520-3898.

Rally Day Sept 10th

Rally Day Service and Celebration with Pot Luck Lunch after.
Families! Come to worship in the sanctuary at 10:30 AM.

Following the Children’s Story the children and youth will move to the church kitchen to help get things ready for the Rally Day Pot Luck Luncheon being held following worship. The students will be the kitchen crew and dining room set up staff. The preschool class will make decorations for the tables.

Regular classes will begin the following Sunday with an expansion of classes this year. A preschool class will be held in the Nursery Room for children ages 2-4. There will always be plenty of help in the room to accommodate any younger children or babies that may also be present. There will be a class in the Noah’s Ark Room for grades K through age 9, and a Tweens class for those aged 10 and up that will meet in the youth room. We are hoping for a very exciting year with all of the Sunday School students.
