Mid-week Bible Study Resumes with Study of the Gospel of Matthew
Starting Wednesday, January 25
Following on the well-received study of the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Tom will lead a ten- week study of the Gospel of Matthew starting on January 25. The class will meet on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00-2:30 PM. For more information or to register for the class, please call the church office at 603-524- 3289. A sign-up sheet will also be posted in fellowship hall.
Memorial Bricks as Part of the Memory Garden
Surrounding the Columbarium is a patio of pavers then a ring of arbor vitae and other plantings designed to decorate and add privacy. Between the patio pavers and the arbor vitae is a space reserved for Memorial Bricks. The intention is to provide an inexpensive way to re- member persons associated with the church. The area is covered with bark mulch and is on all four sides.
The bricks are 4x8x2 inches. The Columbarium committee buys the bricks and has them professionally engraved. You have your choice between two setups of engraving; one memorializes a person, the inscription includes the name and birth/death year. The second carries the name of a couple memorialized, with the two names. If you are interested in a Memory Brick you need to fill out a form that can be found in the Fellowship Hall. There are two forms, one for an individual the other for a couple memorialized. The cost for the en- graved brick is $150.00. Monies above expenses will go into a fund to cover maintenance on the Columbarium and Memory Garden. Your payment of $150.00 is considered as a charitable gift to the church so it is tax deductible. When your brick arrives, you will be notified and in- vited to place the brick yourself (if you prefer) into the established pattern. Either of the forms can be obtained via email or postal mail by emailing David Witham at email@example.com or calling 286-9590 or 455-7109. Also contact David if you have questions.
The 2017 flower chart is up.
Please sign up to donate flowers for the altar sometime this coming year. You are invited to do it in honor or memory of someone, or in celebration of something special in your life- a birthday or anniversary for example.
When donating flowers, please put your name on the chart for the week that you want flowers, and complete a slip from the envelope below the flower chart and turn it in to the church office. Thank you.
