A new Adult Study will begin on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 9:00 AM. in the library.
Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition is a workbook that describes major features in John Wesley’s devotional life and illustrates how they can be applicable for our own as we seek to grow in our own spiritual journey.
The workbook is for our daily use over seven weeks’ time. For each day there is a very brief reading about Wesley’s thoughts on a given topic and questions for our reflection. These daily readings and reflection can be the stimulus for discussion in the first part of our time together.
Many of us set aside at least some devotional time throughout the week. Wesley sought to live a fully devotional life. We will explore what this difference might mean to us.
Along with this we will see a portion each week of a movie showing Wesley’s spiritual struggle. The movie is called, Wesley: A Heart Transformed Can Change the World. This study will be led by Marilyn Ayer.
The cost of the book is $8.49. Please sign up in the Fellowship Hall or call the office (524-3289) right away so we know how many books to order.
